Very Good Salads

This book contains 52 very good salad recipes, brought to you by Shuki Rosenboim and Louisa Allan, owners of Very Good Falafel, a small falafel bar in Melbourne, Australia. With a focus on vegan salads, exceptional dips, soft pita and, of course, very good falafel, all made from local in-season ingredients – you’ll find all of these dishes, and more, in this very good book.

Very Good Salads shares Shuki and Louisa’s original, much-lauded falafel recipe for the first time, along with their popular salads that change with the seasons. Making the very best of fresh produce, recipes include Iraqi Jewish and Middle Eastern-focused salads that are as good on their own as they are stuffed into bread with a side of tahini.

Each salad makes use of the whole vegetable, with classic and less-expected pairings such as watermelon salad with za’atar, radish and fried pita; peaches, basil, and hazelnut; and grilled leek with pomegranate, walnuts, spring onion, mint, dill, and lemon zest; as well as larger offerings such as silverbeet rice cake and stuffed tomatoes with saffron rice and dried mint. In addition, the book shares recipes for traditional dips and the ultimate pita recipe that produces flawless bread to stuff or served alongside share plates.

DELIVERY

We usually despatch within 48 hours, although on occasion we may be waiting for stock. We will do our best to accommodate a deadline. Why not call us to check stock availability?

We ship our goods throughout Australia and charge a flat rate shipping cost of $10.00 per order. Free shipping applies to all orders over $150.00. Flat rate shipping applies to all products under 3kg, additional charges may be applicable for bulky items and we will contact you accordingly.

The Corner Booth offers international shipping at a flat rate of $55. Bulky items may incur additional shipping charges and we will provide a quote based on weight and location of delivery. All duties and taxes will be the responsibility of the customer.

Our products at times may be available for Pre-Order and these will be marked with approximate delivery time. If your order includes pre-order items, we will ship your order once complete. Requests for partially shipped orders may incur additional shipping charges.

We endeavour to have all products on our website available for immediate delivery ( unless marked pre-order) on occasions some items may be out of stock. You will be contacted immediately in this instance and we will either order the item in for you or suggest an alternative. 

To minimise our impact on the environment where possible we package orders in recycled boxes and packaging. Our boxes may not be pretty but it is one small step in minimising waste.

Our parcels are sent with couriers and tracking details will be provided. Deliveries are marked Authority To Leave which means the courier will leave  your package in a safe place. Please contact us if a 'safe place' is not available and we will amend this.

We are not responsible for shipping delays, incorrectly addressed parcels or lost goods. We will endeavour to assist you, should we need to contact our shipping partners.
